ABC Anchorman Bob Woodruff and His Cameraman Attacked in Iraq

Bob Woodruff and his cameraman were attacked and seriously injured while traveling in an Iraqi Army vehicle earlier today (Sunday) in the area of Taji in Iraq. They were embedded with the US 4th Infantry Division. They were travelling in a convoy
close to 15 miles north of Baghdad.

The two were wearing body armour and were standing in the hatch of a mechanized vehicle when hit with explosives and exposed to shrapnel. The cameraman's name is Douglas Voight. Both Voight and Woudruff suffered head injuried and Woodruff also suffered broken bones. They are in stable condition at a US military hospital and will be transferred to a base in Germany overnight.

According to a spokesperson for ABC, the vehicle that Woodruff and Voight were travelling in was not as secure as that of a US armoured vehicle, but the logic for the reporters was to get as close to the "action" as possible.

Saddam Has Been Kicked Out of Court This Morning

Court was off to a rocky start this (Sunday) morning for the trial of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.

First a new chief judge was brought in to set a tougher scenerio all around. This was to be his first day presiding in the court room. As soon as the trial was about to begin one of Saddam's co defendents was expelled from the courtroom for unruly behavior by Chief Judge Raouf Abdel-Rahman.

As the defendent was literally dragged out of the courtroom, his defense team began an uproar in protest. The protest was immediately followed by a "show" of his own put on by none other than Saddam himself. He began to scream "Down with Traitors" and "Down with America". So of course, he too was ejected from the courtroom this morning as well.

Outbursts like this from Hussein are not unusual but the shakeups between legal counsel and the way they are intensifying are leading experts to question whether or not there will ever be a fair trial in this case. For instance, when the first defense attorney left with his client this morning, the entire defense team accompanied him in solidarity. The tough new judge warned the attorneys that if they walked out of the courtroom they would be forbidden to return.

It almost seems that the lawyers for Hussein planned this and will continue to plan this until they run out of lawyers and places that there could possibly be a fair trial. further exhausting the resourses of the good and honourable people in that country who want to live in a peaceful just world without the fear of the tyrants and his henchmen coming back to haunt him. It is bad enough that these baathist support the terrorism in Iraq right now and that these honest people have to fear for their safety as it is when they go about their day to day lives.

Atleast they should have the right as God fearing and God loving people to see the end of the misery they lived under for over 40 years with a brutal tyrant and his evil, evil regime.

Christian Peaceworkers Still Alive, New Video Released In Iraq With New Deadline

News reports are out showing video of the four Christian Aide workers, the two Canadians (James Loney and Harmeet Singh); one Brit (Norman Kember); and one American (Tom Fox) on Al Jazeera yesterday. They look emaciated and extremely tired. The four appear to be standing against a white wall of a house.

The narrator of the video introduces himself as the "leader of the Swords of the Righteousness Brigades" and is offering a "last chance" to save the lives of the four men (by giving into their original demands) or this time they will definately face death.

The demands are for the US and Iraqi officials to "release all Iraqi prisoners in return of freeing the hostages".

From what we can tell said hostages are only the four workers in the photo, the Aide Workers. There is no indication here where Christian Science Monitor Journalist Jill Carroll is being held or what her status is at this time.

Intelligence sources are reporting that a video has been released December 19th showing a man in a black jacket (the same black jacket as Ronald Allen Schulz was wearing in the video aired on Al Jazeera a few weeks ago) kneeling with an Arab head dress on while being shot in the head.

The Taipei Times has also released a story on this minutes ago.

Zarqawi Was Captured and Mistakenly Set Free, CNN Claims

Tonight on his show, Anderson Cooper reported that US forces picked up Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi not too long ago, but that he was "so unrecognizable" that they did not realize it was him.

Evidently, Zarqawi has put on a significant amount of weight and is donning a very long beard. He was once known for a very specific tatoo as well. The tattoo has either since been removed or entirely changed from its original form.

Additionally, Zarqawi is traveling on Kurdish documents now, as opposed to Arabic ones.

This makes sense due to his affiliation with the mostly Kurdish AQ affiliate Ansar al-Islam and their beheading video of Nicolas Berg whereby some felt it could not have been Zarqawi who did the killing, as the man was "too heavy".

Not to make light of this by any means, but in a country where peoples' security is such a problem they are afraid to leave their homes let a lone worry about their next meal, how does he get to gorge on so much dam food? Aren't thousands starving there too?

This man needs to be treated the way he treated Mr Berg, without a doubt

No Attacks on Election Day In Iraq??

Yes, this is out of order for Iraq, in particular for the Sunni radicals. Several things are amiss. Renegade Shiite groups such as al-Bara'a have been literally pledging allegiance to Zarqawi all week, and yes many have their true allegiances with Iran.

Something is terribly wrong here. Fears have been a civil war in Iraq. But what if there is not one and they band together against all non-Muslims?

Outside of Iraq, it also looks that way, and I am not talking about the Sunni Palestinian groups who have always taken financial and logistical support from Shiite Iran. This goes further and shows not only Iran's preparations are beginning to show but that perhaps they are being supported on a much larger scale than the world assumed.

Here are a few things which took place in the last week alone that gained the world's attention and were not discountable:

1. The Iranian military exercises this past weekend near Oman

2. The moves in preparation of pricing their (iranian) oil in Euros

3. Very aggressive rhetoric towards from Britain, Israel, and the US.

4. The statement out of the OIC (in Saudi Arabia) last week that a threat against one member (shiite, Sunni, etc) would be considered a threat against all Islamic countries. (more to be written about this)

Analysts are speculating that Iran is posturing to go to war and that the Sunni world is beginning to align itself with them in order to stqand up against the "true enemy" in their eyes, those who are not members of the Ummah.

So now the message coming from both Saudi Arabia and Tehran is that it does not matter what sect you belong to, so long as you are Islamic.

Additionally one of the leaders of Hamas (a Sunni group) put out a statement today commending the Iranian President for his recent statement that the "Holocaust did not happen" and promised "stepped up attacks" in Israel if Israel attacks Iran.

AQ affiliated Ansar al Sunnah released another brutal execution video on December 1. This time it was a fellow Iraqi named Nasser Hadi Ali, a prison guard that they seemed to be acquainted with. He was "charged" by this renegade group of "spying" on them.

Ansar al-Sunnah is notorioius for their brutality including the kidnappng and beheadinf of Nick Berg. They are located in the Kurdish region of Iraq and are composed mostly of members of the PKK faction of Kurds.

Here is a partial translation:

"After a long follow up we arrested converter Nasssar Hadi Ali.

"He works for the Special Forces of the Interior Police. He guards the al Jaderiya Jail. which the Iranian al A'algami Sloagh used as a concentration camp for Muslims.

"Very harsh torture is used against innocent Muslims at the al Jaderiya Jail. Most of those tortured there die. Those who don't die are thrown in other jails with long-term disabilities.

"The other crime of this converter was that he spied on the imams and worshippers in mosques. It was very easy for him to do because he used to be a part of the prayer groups here. But even more than that, he even used to help the mujahadeen to transport their weapons!!

"All of a sudden, he converted from his religion when he joined the Interior police. he was brainwashed and became one of their soldiers. He arrested all of the imams at the mosques and even worshippers he knew very well.

"After a long interrogaation, he finally confessed. By Allah's orderss we executed him by shooting him in the head."

US Contractor Kidnapped In Iraq Feared Dead

When Ronald Allen Schulz's brother Ed first heard his brother had been kidnapped, he feared the worst because of his brother's "very blonde hair and very blue eyes". Now it seems his fears, for whatever the reasons, may be true.

The last time Ed talked to Ronald was November 4th when Ronald was home, safe in Alaska.

Ronald Schulz, who lived in Alaska and was a native of North Dakota, was kidnapped by an Iraqi insurgent group calling itself "The Islamic Army". He was working in Iraq at the time as a US security consultant as an employee of HALIBURTON.
(Might it be possible that a certain former CEO of Haliburton could have pulled some strings here??? Ooops sorry I forgot he put us there in the first place and hid behind the President...)

Last Tuesday Al Jazeera aired a video of Schulz with his arms bound behind his back. He had on a black jacket and appeared to be disoriented. From what could be seen, he was talking to a woman seated next to him with whom he was able to communicate with ease.

The video was accompanied by the logo of the Islamic Army, the same group that kidnapped and murdered Italian hostages over a year ago. Pictures of Mr. Schulz's passport were also shown in the video.

Two days later, on Thursday, a statement was posted on an Islamic Militant website supposedly by the Islamic Army. It did not name the hostage, nor did it provide pictures. The statement did say it would provide pictures later on.

Here is a brief translation of what may or may not be a credible message:

"Mr. Bush, you are looking for someone who will not be returning to you!!

"We killed the infidel security consultant for the Housing Ministry of the Converters and the Liars. Bush, you and your henchmen refused to meet our demands or releasing all Sunni's from Iraqi prisons...."

"War monger Bush, you continue to prove your arrogance and give no value to peoples' lives....... In return we killed one of yours, this so-called security expert who worked for the Housing Ministry of the Converters and the Liars after the end of the deadline to meet the demands of the Islamic Army passed."

It Is Possible That Ronald Schulz Had A Jordanian Fiancee'

Reports are quietly trickling in that the kidnapped and presumed deceased HALIBURTON worker scheduled several trips between Amman and Anchorage over the past year and intimated that he was not traveling alone when in the Middle East.

Further, he told others that he planned to become engaged to a woman in Jordan and bring her back to his home in the beautiful suburb of Eagle Run, which overlooks Anchorage.

On the video released Tuesday by Al Jazeera, Schulz can be seen talking to someone he appeared to feel very familiar with and that person has been successfully identified as a woman. Since none of Ronald's friends or family have yet to meet the woman he hoped to marry, investigators are working with Jordanian authorities in an attempt to piece together if this is indeed the woman Mr. Schulz has been visiting and traveling with over the past year or so.

One could hope that perhaps neither of them are dead and that they will be both found safe, especially if SOMEONE FROM HALIBURTON pulled some strings.......
